Cambacérès (1753-1824)
Moderated revolutionist, Cambacérès was the instigator of the Civil code. Second Consul then Archchancellor of the Empire, he controlled France during the many absences of Napoleon Bonaparte. Considered gastronome, dignitary freemason, he was also a business lawyer related to financial of the Napoleonean time. This site returns justice to the forgotten statesman.
